Community Photo Albums provides an easy and safe way to share images from your school and school's activities, as the photos you upload can only be accessed directly in the Memento Yearbook app.
To share photos with your Yearbook Committee, you will need to receive an invitation to contribute to one or more Community Photo Albums.
Via an email or a text message, the Yearbook's Editor-in-Chief will provide you with one or more website link(s) and a password.
Once your images are uploaded, there is nothing left for you or your yearbook team to do: your images are immediately in the yearbook app, with no follow-up required from you, and no extra downloads or access issues for the Editor-in-Chief to access your images.
When you receive the website link, click on the link or copy/paste it into your web browser on any internet-enabled device.
Login on your computer...
Or on your phone/tablet:
Type the password provided by the Editor-in-Chief, then agree to the upload policy (details are in the clickable link).
Didn't receive a password? Contact the person responsible for managing your school's yearbook.
You'll see the album title and some general information.
Click on the Click to Upload Photos button to begin the process of uploading photos.
Warning: Due to the Child Safety Legislation, you and other contributors will not be able to see previously uploaded images.
Photos in JPG, PNG and HEIC format may be uploaded.
Navigate to the location where your photos are stored on your computer, tablet or phone via any drive/device connected to it, be it local storage or an external/synched drive, such as Google Drive, One Drive or Dropbox.
Multi-select images to upload them as a batch.
On a Windows computer, hold the Control key then select the files individually to upload.
On a Mac computer, hold the Command key then select the individual files to upload.
On most hand-held devices, press and hold on the first image to enable multi-selection by checkmark.
Click Open or Done to start the upload.
The Yearbook Editor(s)-in-Chief and Editors can now access your photos within the Memento Yearbook app.
Avoid sharing the following:
- photos taken in "burst mode": if you have multiple shots of the same scene, only send the best one.
- badly cropped or out-of-focus images.
- images showing the backsides of people's heads or crouched-over athletes in a huddle.
- pictures without a particular focus or story. Show faces and interactions not random assemblages of people or far-away shots of activities.
